The cellar of the Knights of Saint John, where the cellar master creates these wines dates back to the 13th century, when it belonged to the monastery of the Order of Saint John. The estate's vineyards extend to the particularly sunny west bank of Lake Bienne. The wine-maker grows some of his favourite different grape varieties here, in addition to varieties typical of this region, to extend his range of fine wines.
