In 1980, Daniel Huber went to Ticino with his family and a diploma in oenology. He acquired two vineyards that he cleared and began developing his first wines. The first attempts were well received and in a few years, he became a leading figure of the Ticino wines. Its vineyards are planted mainly with Merlot and Chardonnay, but with several other varieties in small quantities such as the Completer, a local grape from the Graubunden, or the Petit Verdot.
